Imaging
Dental imaging has experienced a major leap forward in technology, mainly because of the change from analog to digital imaging. We use digital imaging called 3D CT imaging with cone beam to take high resolution images of your teeth and mouth. In our office, there are no more of those old school impressions. Instead we use an intraoral 3D high definition scanner. Digital intraoral scanners can capture an image of your teeth in just one click. The use of digital technology means a simpler, faster process and the ability to manipulate and store images much better. The 3D technology allows us to image very complex tooth and facial structures for earlier diagnosis and superb treatment. Digital technology also allows us to be a completely paperless office when it comes to your medical records.
Diagnostics
Our Buckhead dental office uses the latest in laboratory and screening technology. We have a state-of-the-art laboratory right in the office, and our CEREC machine provides ceramic crown impressions. CEREC is a cosmetic dentistry tool that uses computer-assisted design to produce ceramic crowns and other cosmetic inlays and fillings. The computer mills the crown out of ceramic to perfectly fit your tooth. It is made by the computer while you wait, so you never have to wear a temporary crown while you wait weeks for your permanent crown to come in from a remote lab.
Oral cancer is a hidden danger, and we use VELscope technology to screen for oral cancer lesions to provide early detection of any tissue abnormalities. VELscope uses fluorescence visualization, a light-based technology that uses blue light to stimulate the epithelial tissues in the cheeks and mouth to self-fluoresce. In doing so, we can detect any abnormal tissue changes to better detect oral cancers much earlier.

We also use the latest technology to provide you with the most relaxing experience possible. First our dentists have customized our hydraulic dental chairs to provide you with maximum comfort. We provide you with wireless Bose noise cancelling headphones to wear during any procedure, or if that’s not your cup of tea, our office also has a centralized audio system so we can stream in relaxing music. We use scent technology throughout the office to add to our relaxing atmosphere, so sights, smells, and sounds are all geared for your comfort.
